I m a huge fan of the author, so I really enjoyed reading this especially those essays about environmental work and the poems at the end That being said, this book is a bit too outdated for our current political climate Especially the section about Bush and Gore, which feels so insignificant in light of a possible Trump future Would love to see an updated version of this come out again.

Good introductory selection of her writings some of the events may feel dated in specifics of particular political environmental battles, but the need for standing up for people, indigenous rights and the environment is a constant need.
