A hilarious readThis book was full of amusing moments and witty conversation I enjoyed this book immensely It was very hard to put down book.

I love the interactions between Messina s characters they are funny and sweet and entertaining and she delivers again here While we missed some of the suspense elements in The Other Harlow Girl, Messina brings it back to us with The Bolingbroke Chit The Harlows are here and there throughout, but this time we focus on Agatha who was mentioned in the last book but I don t think we actually met her Now, of course, she plays a starring role, with a wonderful new hero in Addleson The first half of th [...]

Regency era funIf you like Jane Austen, you will probably enjoy the Harlow Holden series by Lynn Messina This is the third book in the series and possibly my favorite It involves secret caricaturists and an intrigue concerning plagiarism It s a bit saucier and a touch modern than an actual Austen novel, but I d say it s written with a feminist Austenite in mind.

I LOVE this series Messina keeps me coming back for because her writing style is just perfect for the genre and her character SO delightful to read I really liked that we got to see a lot of the Harlow ladies I absolutely loved those books and enjoyed seeing them again This novel does have a very unusual aspect to it, namely the two main characters seem entirely incompatible with each other One very sour and straightlaced except for her secret identity and the other hiding behind an air of stup [...]

Really this is a 3.5 star book for me I thought it took a while to really get going and spent too much time with characters from earlier books in the series, when I just wanted to see how Agatha and Jonah could really, believably connect But once things did finally focus on the protagonists, this book got a lot stronger I liked that the heroine is pretty unlikable not just to the people in her life, but to the reader too at first And that her growth arc really encompassed what she d allowed hers [...]

Actually Book Three in my opinionInternally this book follows immediately after the Other Harlow Girl, I chose to read it as book 3 of the series The actions conclude the events that started in book one The Harlow Hoyden and deal with the villain still at large, although the primary focus is on Lady Agatha and Viscount Addison As with the rest of the series, the plot is original, the writing witty and humorous, and the characters distinctive The next two books are connected to this main branch b [...]

Oh yeah, give me of those ones The writing style was clearly phenomenal. The characters weren t perfect and I loved that They both had their faults but I adore that they just wanted to make things right Plus, they were so witty and there was soo much sarcasm in there, I had to laugh out loud quite often. The plot was elaborate, there was a lot going on and I liked it Unfortunately, at times it was also a bit too confusing but hey.The ending was really nice but I would have loved a glimpse into th [...]

Wonderful SeriesI am enjoying this series immensely The Harlow Hoydens are endlessly entertaining and I love the author s expansive vocabulary For example in describing certain colors, she uses the descriptors vermilion , puce , and dun instead of the prosaic words red, purple, and gray.

The h was too hard to like thru most of the story, which I get, because she eventually changes into someone likeable, but it took so long I just couldn t enjoy her And I didn t understand the H s attraction to her, since she made herself so unapproachable Enjoyed the Harlow twins cameos, though.

I could not get through this book I had to stop half way It was so back and forth with storylines back stories perspectives I enjoyed the first book in the series, this was a disappointment.
